The 2016 Formula Vee festival is at Brands Hatch on 29/30 October. It’s much earlier this year so let’s make sure we fill the place with Vees and set the scene for next year’s 50th Anniversary. More details will follow on the exact format soon but be assured this will be the usual excellent value with practice and up to 3 races. It is still only £250! The event will be over the two days.
*Cars must conform fully with their current national regs including tyres! The usual prizes will be up for grabs. Get your entries in early as places are limited and you don’t want to miss this last fun and great value outing before the winter. Entry form below (click on it).Read more →

Well done to Paul Smith for a great double at Donington to get the season under way.
It’s nice to have Ravenol on board as championship title sponsor and a big Vee thanks goes to them. At each meeting a £100 Ravenol voucher will go to the driver with the most over-takes (difference between qually position and finish) over the weekend. At Donington two people, Ian Buxton and James Harridge, tied with 17 places made overall and in such circumstances the award will go to the person with the highest place finish in either race which in this case is James. Well done James. At future rounds the Ravenol vouchers will be awarded on the day.
The Vee Centre will be awarding the usual trophies and cash prizes this year. There are a number of awards competed for by drivers throughout the grid. For newcomers to the formula you can see details of the various competitions here. All registered drivers are now automatically enrolled in the Vee Centre and eligible for the awards thanks to the support of the club. In additional to our usual awards new for 2016 will be the teams competition with a generous cash prize kindly donated by Mike Oldknow. The magnificent Willetts trophy will also go to the winning team this year. The standings after round one are:
1. Paul Smith; Martin Snarey; Nick Brown; Harry Webb 21pts

This car was previously owned by Jake Oliveira at Osport before we brought it and were run by Jake in 2014. We ran with Bears Motorsport in 2015. It is a race winning car.
I was mostly running in the midfield and getting a few top 10’s in the car. It is possible to win again in the car with the right person. It is eligible to race in class A.
Due to us getting a new car, a GAC, we have decided to take most of the bits off to put onto the GAC. So what is mostly left is the chassis and body work.
What else is left over: Rear suspension complete including shock absorbers, plus 2 spare rock levers and push rods and 1 spare rear radius arm. Front suspension complete including shock absorbers. Oil coolers, dry sump tank and pump, fuel tank and fire extinguisher. Nose cone mould for producing new noses.
Will be a major project for anyone to get it ready for the start of the season. Will possibly consider selling the individual parts.
Will possibly consider a lower price, get in contact with me, at 07783419441, or my dad, as he is the one selling, at 07544848171.
If anyone wants to go see the car, you need to get in contact with Phill Foster as he is storing the car for us. You can contact him at 07976 715812.Read more →
