The Vee Centre is a social club for Formula Vee drivers, their mechanics, friends and families with the goal of encouraging participation in Vee related activities and promotion of Formula Vee both within the 750MC and to the outside world. The Centre also plays a significant role in documenting and keeping tabs on the history and development of Vee and members are more than willing to provide advice to prospective & new competitors right through to seasoned motorsport enthusiasts about getting into Fromula Vee and running your car in the championship. The Vee Centre ethos is to keep single seater racing cheap and enjoyable whilst providing close competative racing on track.
The Vee Centre's highlight within the last few years was the organisation of the hugely successfull 40th Anniversary Celebrations at Brands Hatch that included Vee drivers from the UK, Ireland and Germany series. This included well over 150 competitors, lots of races, parades and a party.
The Vee Centre recognises the need to help drivers (regrdless of skill level or car specification) to attain goals that will help push themselves up the grid. Hence we provide a set of awards that are both inovative and fun irrespective of your finish position, so everyone has a goal to aim towards and the Vee Centre can provide recognition when people achieve significant improvement or inspiring performance during a race weekend. The Vee Centre provide a number of structured awards as detailed HERE, there is something for everyone from race winners to those whom are battling hard at the tail end of the field. Additionally the Vee Centre provides awards for those who contribute to the ethos and sporting ideals of Formula Vee.

Every year the Vee Centre has two main events that provide a lot of joy to those who partake in the festivities. Firstly, the barbecue normally held at the Silverstone meeting (August) in the height of summer where lots of beer and burgers are consumed by the drivers and their families. Secondly the End of Season Awards & Dinner Dance (November) where we decend upon a hotel somewhere to catch up and recognise the effort everyone makes to go out racing and let your hair down in a non race environment... with the help of some wine of course! Every year at the Awards night fantastic raffle prizes including new race tyres are won.
Communication with drivers in the formula is paramount and is mainly done through chatting/anouncements to drivers at race meetings but also through the publication of a bi-monthly Newsletter - Vee Views. Vee Views contains race reports, classifieds, news and much more, if you would like to contribute articles then please feel free to contact the Vee Centre Chairman - John Townsend.
Finally the Vee Centre is there for the drivers, everyone gives their time freely and we are always looking out for more helpers and people with ideas - so please give any of the committee a shout at the next race meeting or contact us via email. All funds raised by the Vee Centre is 100% spent on the Centre members and as Erle always said "it's your Vee Centre" it's success is down to your participation.
